Yawn
Dinner last night for newly adult brother.
Kade and I recommended nice Chinese Restaurant that is within a club and a booking was made as is necessary there.
Arrived to find that restaurant had been rejected by family. Too expensive and no 'Australian' meals available.
Dinner was instead eaten within the club's food court.
Happy 18th Birthday Jason!
Plus, Ruby had had VERY minimal sleep throughout the day so was a little precious, and my brother, being newly adult brother, spent every 15 mins walking to the poker machines to look at the pretty lights, because he could.
All in all, not a relaxing meal. And certainly not many Ferg related dinners there. I had planned to have vege stir fry at excellent schmick too expensive non Australian restaurant but I ended up having a Seafood Laksa in the food court.
Anyway, over now.
Mother attempted to book us in for Christmas. Already.
Geez.
Pop says Ruby has his ears because he has no lobes. He was disappointed to then look around then room and see that none of us had lobes.
He also says we should give Ruby a 'banana hairdo' when she gets older. It took us a while to work out that he was talking about a Mohawk.
I tell you, it is wonderful to have the old 'got to get Ruby home to bed' excuse.
Sure does come in handy.

It won't be quite as effective when she's 20.... ;0)
By the way, Twist, as a nurse, you can put your mother off with the "I'll have to wait until my roster comes out to make plans"... I have worked the public holidays over the last 3 Christmases, and it was lovely to stay at home instead of racing off somewhere. It's not always easy to swap a shift at Christmas. But I've been very compliant in helping out my workmates.
Sometimes it's good to live away from family..... <3
Ha! I moved to the UK once to get away from mine.
I did use that exact excuse last night Cyndy. She took it rather well.
And if I didn't say that one, Kade was ready to back me up with the fact that last year we had a Ballico Christmas for the majority of the day so this year we are having a majority Chesworth Christmas.
Of course, if I am not working, which, as a newbie, I probably will be.
It will be a shame, Ruby's first Christmas and all. Never mind.
Why am I not surprised about any of your story of last night? Cos you were sooooo looking forward to it anyway...! Who doesn't like Asian food and how expensive could it have been?? If they wanted cheap, they should've gone to Macca's... Way to lash out on your bro's 1th and all...
Frikkin. I'm really annoyed for you now.
Anyhoo.. I'll meet you in "Ly-chester" Square, shall I?? :) Hee hee.
hahahaha.
Yes. How would I know how to pronounce it? Surely she knew best, right?
Bloody Family...We have told my DHs family that they have to come over here if they want X-Mas with us.Now we will probably have all of his 9 brothers and sisters and their partners and 27 neices and nephews over. What have we done....
bloody hell.funny haow the lines between tragic and hilarious cross , and 10 points to red twitch for letting them know she is more than just a pretty face with no lobes.........

twist, sounds awful and yes, chesworths have you this year for stolen pagan festival celebrations- I have already forewared DOM NOT to invite anyone- it took my 7 months to get over last year !!!!!
